Gelli Printing: Your Word of The Year 1/21/26, 6:30 - 9:00 PM

Gelli printing is a unique, one-of-a-kind (monoprint) printmaking technique. created using a soft, squishy, reusable gelatin-like plate, called a Gelli plate, to transfer layers of paint, textures, and patterns onto paper or fabric, offering a simple, press-free way to make beautiful layered prints.

What will you do? 

You will learn the basics of Gelli printing using natural materials, and fabric to create texture. We will guide you through color layering techniques with paint and how to transfer images from magazines. You’ll be able to pick from our wide selection of materials to create your own series of Gelli prints inspired by your word(s) of the year. We will have a wide variety of inspirational words to chose from to transfer or you can create your own from magazine clippings.

You’ll be free to make as many prints as you’d like during class and really experiment with the unpredictability of Gelli printing!
