Oracle Cards With Helena Domenic, 8.19.26 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Learn how to think about and design a personalized deck of cards. 

Students will learn the basic structures for both Tarot and Oracle decks, with some background on how the cards were originally developed. There will be examples of various cards in different styles to show the diversity of the many decks currently available. They will learn about self-publishing, print on demand printers, and how to approach a publisher, if desired. 

The class will begin with this discussion, and then move into options for art making, which will include drawing with pen and ink and colored pencil, and painting with watercolors. They are encouraged to bring their own favorite supplies if they wish, but all of the above will be provided, along with paper.

Students should be prepared to make art to dress accordingly. They will leave with 3 - 5 designs for the beginnings of their own deck. 

Meet Helena Domenic: Helena Domenic is an accomplished artist, writer, and professor of drawing. Helena maintains a studio in Phoenixville, PA where she offers classes and workshops. Helena is a retired art professor with over 20 years teaching in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Helena has written and published An Illuminated Guide to Wicca, available from Schiffer Publishing. Helena has also self-published a Tarot deck and book, The Fellowship of the Fool Tarot.
